5k really isn’t a bad price, I’m going to say NP.

CP because AT.
Less revs mean the apex seals are more likely to be worn out from carbon deposits not being removed from the ‘ol Italian Tune Up these engines need.

So it’s on it’s third engine?

More than likely.

An rx-8 is one of the few cars that I don’t consider without a) a completed engine swap or b) factoring in the cost of an engine swap.
That said, I consider them at least every couple of weeks.

Yup.

It’s a great price, depending on the engine’s history.

I’d probably be killed for considering swapping in an inline 4 engine into an RX8, but like... if the rotary is supposed to be some high-revving buzzy excitement whenever you tromp on it, why not get an equally high revving motor with similar characteristics? It’s not the same, but it would be infinitely more reliable.

Kissimmee? I barely know ya!
Nice price if the compression is there and the body has no damage

Kissimmee sucks. The level of stupidity here is amazing. Seeing that I’m an underprivileged minor I have no choice but to stay my sorry ass here while all my life is back in Chicago happening without me. That, and there aren’t many good cars for sale in my direct area. Fuck this!

The K20 engines, anything turbo and all aluminum. The stock motor doesn’t make that much power, so equivalent horsepower/ acceleration isn’t exactly out of the question with a four. Plus your gas mileage will basically double...(maybe not that drastic, but you get the idea). The swap is more common in Europe I think, where gas prices/taxes are higher and LS engines less plentiful. Considering you can find a little turbo four with 270+ hp from nearly any major manufacturer, it’s hard for me to take the performance critique seriously.

The first thing I remembered was that GM offers a 4-cylinder turbo motor as one of their crate engine offerings. I’m not sure how good it is for reliability in the long run, but it would be a new, modern motor.

NP all day long, every day.
